I made this film in my second year at Glasgow uni (in 2016), as a way of encouraging people to look for beauty as they moved through their everyday lives.
Growing up my dad always stopped and made me see details. Noticing moving shadows, the light on the side of a building, or seeing the way those wires make a face make the everyday extraordinary. This is my way of sharing that creative view of the world with other people, because it has always brought me joy. This programme asks you to see the world around you with a fresh set of eyes. If cinematography is the way this is portrayed on screen, why wait till you have a camera in your hand? When you stand back and take notice, you find the art in the everyday.
